Demonstrating powerful 3D data processing on Mount Snowdon

The SOARIZON Team By The SOARIZON Team

Last summer, members of the SOARIZON team headed to the top of Wales' highest mountain, Snowdon, to capture data for a 3D modelling project.

On a mission to demonstrate the value of 3D data processing integration into SOARIZON, our team took a drone to the top of Mount Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, to capture data in order to generate a 3D model of the Cafe at the summit (as well as some pretty stunning 4K aerial footage!)

At SOARIZON, we're committed to providing the very best experience to drone operators and organisations. That's why we're continually improving our product and joining forces with some of the best drone services businesses in the industry, building our full service ecosystem and bringing you the services you already use and rely on within the SOARIZON platform.

Accurate 3D maps and models can help with decision making across a whole variety of industries. From aerial surveying and mapping with drone images to running construction sites more effeciently, using drones to survey and track the project. Even helping farmers digitise their land at scale to better understand crop yields and improve forecasting.

This project demonstrates the efficiencies in planning time and operational processes for drone pilots and clients when using SOARIZON, as well as the power of drone-collected data when used for 3D visualisation, just one of the capabilities offered by our data partners CG Labs. We are working hard with our partners to integrate these types of capabilities into SOARIZON (check out our future plans in our Roadmap).
